FastMCP Server

Python FastMCP (Model Context Protocol) server with Bearer Token authentication

How to Run

Run Locally

pip install -r requirements.txt
python server.py

Run with Docker

docker build -t fastmcp .
docker run -p 8000:8000 -e FASTMCP_AUTH_TOKEN=your-secret-token fastmcp

Deployment

Cloudtype

  1. Select Template: FastMCP

  1. Deploy

  • Python 3.12

  • Environment Variables FASTMCP_AUTH_TOKEN: Set the token used for authentication (token used during authentication)

  • Start Command uvicorn server:app --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8000

  1. Connection Information

    MCP connection address - https:///mcp

  1. Updates After committing and pushing code, deploy via the Deploy button in the Settings tab.

Authentication

Uses Bearer Token authentication:

  • Environment Variable: FASTMCP_AUTH_TOKEN

  • Header: Authorization: Bearer your-token

Supported Tools

  • create_task: Create a task

  • complete_task: Complete a task

  • list_tasks: Retrieve the list of tasks

Environment Variables

  • FASTMCP_AUTH_TOKEN: Bearer Token (Required)

  • FASTMCP_HOST: Server host (Optional/Default: 0.0.0.0)

  • FASTMCP_PORT: Server port (Optional/Default: 8000)
